SEOTesting alternative

An SEOTesting alternative that picks the change before it measures it.

SEOTesting proves whether a change you chose worked. QueryScope also chooses it: one search, one page and one move, handed to your coding agent, then measured from the day Google recrawls the page.

Side by side

Both measure SEO changes. Only one decides which change to make.

SEOTesting is a testing lab for changes you already chose. QueryScope is the loop around it: pick, propose, ship, measure.

SEOTesting QueryScope
What it is In their words, it "helps you prove what's working in SEO and AI search" using your Search Console and GA4 data. An SEO agent over MCP that holds your plan, picks the next change and measures it.
Price $50/mo for 1 site, $125/mo for 5, $375/mo for 20. Enterprise on request. $149/mo for up to 10 sites, or $1,430.40/yr.
Trial 14 days, no card. 7 days, card up front.
Who picks the change You do, then set it up as a test. QueryScope hands back the next one: the search, the page and the move.
Kinds of test Time-based against a forecast, split tests with a control group, and LLM tests. Before and after, on the search the change was aimed at.
When the clock starts A start date you set for the test. The day Google recrawls the page, so the days before it is read are not counted.
Before an edit goes live Your call. Anything a visitor reads is proposed in queryscope.md and waits for your commit.
MCP server Yes, alongside an API. Yes. The MCP server is the product.
GA4 and AI traffic Yes, including sessions from ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini. No. It stops at the click.

Who should stay on SEOTesting, and who should not.

01 Stay

You run split tests across groups of pages.

A control group is the strongest test design there is, and SEOTesting is built around it. QueryScope measures one change on one search at a time and has no control group.

02 Stay

You need to measure traffic from AI assistants or GA4.

SEOTesting reads GA4 and tracks sessions from ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini. QueryScope stops at the click.

03 Switch

The hard part is knowing what to change, not proving it.

QueryScope reads your repo, sizes the searches your buyers type, and hands your coding agent one change at a time. Every change is still measured, and the page is not handed back until it is.

Try it on one site.

Add the server to your IDE with the line below, then authorize Search Console in the browser that opens.

install.sh
claude mcp add --transport http queryscope https://mcp.queryscope.dev/mcp

Works the same in Cursor, Cline and Windsurf. Your IDE opens a browser once to authorize.

Then ask: “what should I work on?”

Measure the change. Let something pick it first.

FAQ

SEOTesting alternative: common questions.

Does QueryScope do split testing?

No. It measures each change before and after, on the one search the change was aimed at, and keeps a second edit off that page until the reading settles. If you need a control group of pages, SEOTesting is the better tool.

Why start the clock at the recrawl?

Because Google cannot react to a page it has not read yet. Counting from the day you shipped mixes days of the old page into the after-period and makes a real change look smaller than it was.

Is QueryScope cheaper than SEOTesting?

It depends on how many sites you run. For one site SEOTesting is $50/mo against $149. For 5 to 10 sites QueryScope is $149/mo against SEOTesting's $125 (5 sites) or $375 (20 sites).

Can I use both?

Yes. Both read your own Search Console, so you can keep SEOTesting for formal split tests and use QueryScope to decide what to change next.

Is QueryScope connected to SEOTesting or Google?

No to both. QueryScope is independent. It reads your own Search Console over a read-only grant you approve and can revoke.
